Mining Employment Services (MES) is seeking an experienced Coreyard Geology Technician for an operating gold site in the WA Goldfields. This is a hands-on role supporting core yard operations and geological sample processing, suited to someone with mine-site exposure and RC/DD core experience who is committed to a 2:2 roster.

Essential requirements
- Previous mine-site core yard experience (gold preferred)
- RC and/or diamond drilling sample processing experience
- Current WA C-class manual driver’s licence
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a practical, physical role
- Reliable, team-focused and genuinely happy to work 2:2 FIFO
Desirable
- High Risk Work Licence (forklift)
- Exposure to UG or open-pit environments
- Strong attention to detail with sampling QA/QC and documentation
Position Duties:
- Core handling, metre marking, orientation marking and core photography
- Core cutting (jigsaw), sampling, bagging, tagging and QA/QC insert management
- RC and diamond sample processing and preparation for dispatch
- Density / magnetic susceptibility / pXRF readings where required
- Core storage, racking and general core yard housekeeping
- Accurate records, labels, sample registers and dispatch documentation
