DO 18415 - Core Logging Geologist | Mining Employment Services

Our client, an established Australian gold producer and developer, is seeking an experienced Core Logging Geologist to join their team on a short-term FIFO assignment from Perth. This is an opportunity to join a business with strong recent operational momentum, Australian producing assets, and ongoing growth/development exposure.

Requirements;

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Geology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid RC and diamond drill rig knowledge (essential)
Good understanding of QA/QC practices
Experience with Datamine, Leapfrog and/or ArcGIS Pro will be highly regarded

Position Duties:

Manage core yard activities, including core receival, tray management, metre checks, sampling, photography and dispatch, with a focus on helping clear any existing core logging and sampling backlog
Supervise Field Assistants
Generate data exports as required
Process, QA/QC and analyse geological data, including developing and interpreting geological models
Assist with the execution of resource definition and RC drill programs
