MES is currently seeking an Underground Mining Engineer to join our clients underground gold operation. Our client is one of the worlds leading gold producer with a world-class portfolio of assets.
The operation is a long-life, low-cost asset that is currently in phase two of the expansion project expanding the mine life beyond 2040.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in mining engineering;
- Competent using Deswik, Aegus and Ventsim;
- Underground time completed - preferable.
Position Duties:
- Deliver practical drill and charge plans to operations to meet and exceed targets;
- Develop and provide safe and efficient drill and blast plans;
- Provide technical advice, planning and methodology of all aspects of the underground mining operation;
- Contribute to monitoring of all mine activities, including ventilation;
- Provide rolling development and production schedules and other relevant information as required;
- Assistance with the development of life of mine plans and development of operational budgets;
