Our client, a leading gold producer in Western Australia, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Underground Mine Geologist to join the team at one of their gold operations.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology;
- Experience with grade estimation, ore modelling, and production reconciliation;
- Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, OHS, and duty of care;
- Proficient in the use of Surpac and or equivalent software packages.
Position Duties:
- Daily, weekly and monthly reports;
- Mentoring Junior Geologists;
- Drill program design and implementation;
- Stope review and reconciliation;
- Ensuring that that short-term and long-term GC schedules are aligned to mining schedules with the goal of achieving 18 months of drill stock;
- Compilation and validation of ore production and stockpile data for reporting cycles;
- Overseeing all grade control processes in the department and ensuring best practice.
