Our client, a Western Australian ASX-listed gold explorer with a significant high-grade gold deposit is currently seeking an HR Advisor to join their team. This operation is one of the highest-grade undeveloped gold discoveries in the world & has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

Requirements;

  • Tertiary qualification in the relevant Human Resource Management discipline;
  • Understanding of general mining operations; 
  • Well-developed time management skills - ability to manage and prioritise several tasks at once;
  • Excellent use of word processing and MS Office;
  • Well-developed communication skills & literacy;
  • Great interpersonal skills;
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Relations legislation;
  • Understanding of organisational structures and behaviours & human resource processes and operations;
  • Attention to detail & strong, logical problem-solving; 
  • Ability to work to deadlines & customer service focus;

Position Duties:

  • Recruitment and selection;
  • Support hiring managers with writing position descriptions;
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of employment advertising;
  • Organise and conduct interviews with hiring managers;
  • Prepare employment and salary-related benchmarking and documentation;
  • Onboarding of new employees;
  • Performance Management – assist managers in performance issues through formal conversations and improvement plans.
  • Remuneration and Benefits – review regularly and provide advice on industry trends and benchmarking;
  • Research and participation in IR/HR projects as required;
  • Support HR General Manager with strategic company HR initiatives, including rollout across remote work sites;
  • Involved in writing HR policies and corporate documentation;
  • Communicate and reinforce HR policies, including regular training where required;
  • Probationary Reviews and Exit Interviews – ensure these are completed and recorded on personnel file;
  • Establish and maintain effective lines of communication within own department and organisation;
  • Make timely decisions, to meet organisational objectives;
