Our client, a Western Australian ASX-listed gold explorer with a significant high-grade gold deposit is currently seeking a Process Operator to join their Gold Project which sits in a major gold and nickel producing district.
Job Requirements:
- Valid WA C class drivers license;
- Well-developed communication skills;
- License to operate forklift, skid steer, overhead gantry crane, Loader, IT are preferred;
- Cert III in Metalliferous Processing desirable;
- Confined Space Entry and Gas Test Atmospheres desirable.
Position Duties:
- Practical operation of all processing plant equipment relating to: Grinding, Gravity, Leach, Adsorption, Crushing, Elution and the Tails Storage Facility as required;
- Ensure operational checks are completed and noted defects are actioned;
- Accurate reporting of daily logs and shift notes, recording variance to any metallurgical processing parameters;
- Identify and diagnose, where possible, items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair;
- Identify and act on ways of improving output or efficiency of the plant;
- Operate the IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools in a safe and efficient manner;
- Perform plant and equipment isolations as per the procedure;
- Development and use of Permit to Work documentation;
- Undertaking hazard analysis and ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported;
- Develop, implement and maintain adherence to appropriate procedures and processes.
Experience
Minimum 3 years industry experience in gold processing.
