We are currently seeking an experienced Gold Room Permit Holder to join a well-established mining operation on a FIFO 8/6 roster. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety focused and reliable operator with strong gold room experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Current Section 26 (S26) Certificate (essential);
  • Valid Gold Room Permit;
  • Proven experience working within a gold room environment;
  • Strong understanding of gold processing and recovery methods;
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety.

Permit & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Issue permits including Hot Work, Confined Space, and Isolation/Lockout (LOTO);
  • Verify all controls and safety measures are in place prior to work commencing;
  • Ensure all personnel are authorised and competent to perform assigned tasks;
  • Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with permit conditions;
  • Sign off and close permits upon completion of work.

Position Duties:

  • Operate and maintain gold room equipment and processes;
  • Ensure safe handling, security, and integrity of all gold room activities;
  • Conduct smelting, pouring, and gold recovery processes;
  • Monitor plant performance and report any issues or abnormalities;
  • Maintain accurate production, compliance, and reporting records;
  • Adhere to all site safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in Gold Processing Plants.
