Our client operates as an Australian gold producer, developer, and explorer. They are presently in search of a hands on, proficient Chef to join their village team.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in mass-catering environments is essential (volume cooking);
- Previous FIFO Sous Chef or Head Chef experience is highly desired but not essential;
- First Aid / CPR Certificate is needed;
- Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia
- Obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months.
Position Duties:
- Provide leadership, coordinate, and support staff in maintaining a high-quality catering services for the village on site;
- Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures;
- Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimum;
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards;
- You will be in charge of either breakfast or dinner depending on where your roster falls.
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
