Our client operates as an Australian gold producer, developer, and explorer. They are presently in search of a hands on, proficient Chef to join their village team.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mass-catering environments is essential (volume cooking);
  • Previous FIFO Sous Chef or Head Chef experience is highly desired but not essential;
  • First Aid / CPR Certificate is needed;
  • Australian Citizenship or full working rights in Australia
  • Obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months.

Position Duties:

  • Provide leadership, coordinate, and support staff in maintaining a high-quality catering services for the village on site;
  • Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures;
  • Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to the minimum;
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards;
  • You will be in charge of either breakfast or dinner depending on where your roster falls.
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
