Our client is a mid-tier base and precious metals producer with several Australian-based mining and processing operations. Over the last twelve months, they have undergone significant growth with the acquisition of mines and advanced projects. With the development and change, the focus of their business changed away from being purely a copper producer to a base and precious metals producer. They seek an Underground Production Engineer for their zinc/copper underground mine. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or similar;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, a 3D CAD software package;
  • Current WA Manual Driver's Licence (preferred);
  • Current National Police Clearance (or the ability to obtain one quickly);
  • Proven experience in an operational mine environment (UG time preferred but not essential).

Position Duties:

  • Production blast hole drill, backfill and services hole design;
  • Production charge-up design for production stoping and service rises;
  • Overseeing the contractor drilling, charge-up and blasting plans;
  • Coordination of production in the weekly, monthly and quarterly plans;
  • Tracking of the daily performance of the mining operation;
