SA15504 2IC/Process Operator | Mining Employment Services

Our Client Is seeking a 2IC/Process Operator to join their growing processing team.

This role will be working for a minerals company focused on developing their 100% owned WA project with an estimated mine life between 30-50 years. The project will be a low cost, long life and high margin producer.

The camp has a basketball half-court, gym, dry/wet mess, rec room, BBQ area, and walking/jogging track! It's a short 10-minute walk to the site or 2 minutes by vehicle.

WA Manual Drivers Licence
Confined Space
Working at Heights
National Police Clearance
Be a self-starter who can work autonomously without significant supervision.
Previously worked on crystallizers, centrifuges and compaction plants (advantageous)
Ability to operate wheeled and skid steer loaders (desirable)
First aid qualifications (desirable)
Capable of doing Control room duties (desirable)
COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate (x2 doses & willing to get a booster shot when eligible)
Working rights in Australia without restriction
Must be able to pass a medical including a D&A screen

Position Duties:

Monitor and control metallurgical processes, complete inspections on all operating equipment.
Supporting the Supervisor in providing guidance and leadership to Process Operators.
Supporting the Supervisor in training and developing the processing team.
Liaise with the Shift Supervisor on the daily tasks and jobs required.
Act as Shift Supervisor as required.
Perform minor mechanical and process maintenance on metallurgical process equipment.
Capture and update plant process data both performance and downtime related.
ROM, product and waste loading as required, Sample collection and in-field analysis.
Ensure compliance to operating procedures
Be willing to go above and beyond to contribute to the success of the operation.

Experience

3-4 years experience in a similar role and exposure to leading and motivating small processing teams.
