Our client, a Western Australian ASX-listed gold explorer with a significant high-grade gold deposit is currently seeking a Lab Technician to join their Gold Project which sits in a major gold producing district; FIFO Perth 8/6 roster, short term contract.

Requirements: 

  • Site Laboratory experience;
  • Current Drivers License;  
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Small XRF, LM2 pulveriser & Small Terminator jaw crusher experience necessary;
  • Strong commitment to OH&S procedures;
  • High level of communication skills – verbal and written;

Position Duties:

  • Create and proactively manage the effective monthly, weekly and daily plan to operate the laboratory and sample areas in a safe, environmentally sustainable and cost-effective manner;
  • Ensure there is a proactive maintenance plan, coordinating the planned and unplanned maintenance of the laboratory and sampling equipment to maximise the availability and production efficiency of the plant;
  • Work with the geology and process plant teams to ensure the optimum use of the laboratory and sampling areas
  • Source and maintain quality data to produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting for the laboratory operations.
