The approximately 9,000-metre program at Kundip, part of the Ravensthorpe Gold Project, is intended to test extensions to known high-grade gold mineralisation and deeper exploration targets identified through drilling, geological interpretation and electromagnetic surveys. Medallion said the work aims to expand the Kundip Mineral Resource and could support potential mine-life extensions.
The company has received A$180,000 in Western Australian Government Exploration Incentive Scheme co-funding for about 1,400 metres of planned diamond drilling, with a further A$25,000 available for downhole electromagnetic surveys. The grant can reimburse up to 50% of eligible direct drilling costs.
Two EIS-supported diamond holes are planned: an approximately 800-metre hole at Hillsborough Deeps to test a conductor and assess deeper mineralisation on the Harbour View lode, and an approximately 600-metre hole at Gem Restored targeting a 350-metre down-plunge step-out. Medallion said the drilling will test whether Kundip hosts a larger gold-copper mineralised system at depth.
