Maritana Minerals has reported further high-grade gold intersections from completed Phase 2 resource-definition drilling at its 100%-owned Burbanks Gold Project, nine kilometres south of Coolgardie in Western Australia's Goldfields.
The 27 August 2026 update covers the first 11 assay results from a 20-hole program of approximately 6,400 metres. Drilling tested underground mineralisation beneath the Main Lode and combined infill work with extensions beyond the current resource.
High-grade results support underground potential
Reported intersections included 0.48 metres at 25.19 grams per tonne gold from 224.63 metres in hole 26HBBD062. The same hole returned 0.76 metres at 9.02g/t from 231.42 metres, including 0.38 metres at 16.41g/t.
Other results included 3.89 metres at 2.25g/t gold from 299.11 metres in 26HBBD056, including two metres at 3.69g/t and one metre at 8.23g/t. Maritana noted the intervals are downhole lengths and are not necessarily true widths.
Burbanks currently hosts a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource of 6.1 million tonnes at 2.4g/t gold for 466,000 ounces. Its underground component contains approximately 167,900 ounces.
Potential feed source for Black Swan
Burbanks Underground is not included in the current Black Swan Processing Hub life-of-mine plan. Maritana said the drilling had extended the mineralised footprint below Main Lode and was strengthening the project's potential as an additional feed source for the hub.
Final Phase 2 assay results are expected during the September quarter of 2026. A Mineral Resource update based on Phase 1 drilling is also due in the September quarter, with Phase 2 results planned for inclusion in a further update during the December quarter.
Ore Reserve studies are expected to follow the updated resource work, and drilling at Burbanks South is planned for the next quarter. These work programs may support future needs across underground geology, resource evaluation, mining studies and project delivery as Maritana assesses the development opportunity.
