Brightstar Resources has reported wide, high-grade gold intersections from infill drilling at the Two Mile Hill-Shillington deposit within its Sandstone Gold Project in Western Australia.
The 27 August 2026 announcement included an unconstrained intersection of 225.7 metres at 3.11 grams per tonne gold from 284 metres in hole TMHRCD26006A. The interval contained 19 metres at 24.3g/t from 306 metres, including one metre at 449g/t.
Infill drilling supports underground studies
A second hole, TMHRCD26004, returned an unconstrained intersection of 194 metres at 2.10g/t gold from 286 metres. Higher-grade intervals included 13 metres at 4.35g/t from 322 metres and six metres at 5.54g/t from 450 metres.
The drilling targeted areas being assessed for potential underground mining in Brightstar's current pre-feasibility study work. It was designed to improve geological confidence and support a potential upgrade to Indicated classification in the next Mineral Resource estimate.
Two Mile Hill-Shillington currently hosts a Mineral Resource of 14.6 million tonnes at 1.6g/t gold for 731,000 ounces. The deposit forms part of the broader Sandstone Project, which has a reported Mineral Resource of 2.9 million ounces at 1.3g/t gold.
Resource update due in November
The June infill program comprised six reverse-circulation holes for about 1,500 metres, 22 reverse-circulation pre-collars with diamond tails for about 10,800 metres, and two diamond holes for about 300 metres. Assays remain pending for two diamond tails totalling approximately 1,014 metres.
Brightstar said the results would feed into an updated Mineral Resource estimate and the Sandstone pre-feasibility study, both targeted for November 2026. Drilling remains active across the project, including two reverse-circulation rigs at the Indomitable Camp and a diamond rig testing the deeper Shirvington Zone.
Continued drilling, resource modelling and underground study work may support demand for exploration, geology, resource, mining-study and project personnel as the Sandstone development case advances.
