Metal Hawk Limited has reported a high-grade gold discovery at the newly named Numbat lode within the southern zone of the Thylacine prospect at its 100%-owned Leinster South Project in Western Australia.
The standout reverse-circulation result was 9m at 12.3g/t gold from 70m, including 5m at 20.7g/t gold from 72m. Metal Hawk said it is the best result delivered at Leinster South to date and confirms shallow, high-grade fresh-rock mineralisation with potential to thicken at depth.
Other reported results include 8m at 3.6g/t gold from 40m, including 4m at 6.1g/t gold from 44m, and 3m at 4.2g/t gold from 5m, including 1m at 10.8g/t gold from 7m.
The latest program comprised 10 RC holes for 1,153m. Assays have been received for six holes, with results from the remaining four still pending.
The Numbat lode remains open along strike and at depth. Metal Hawk plans a further RC phase in late September, followed by diamond drilling.
Leinster South covers more than 430 square kilometres in the Agnew-Wiluna Greenstone Belt, between about 10km and 40km south of Leinster.
