International Graphite has expanded the product capability and earnings potential of its new commercial-scale graphite micronising facility at Collie, Western Australia, after finalising selection of key production equipment.
Construction of the facility remains on track for commissioning in mid-2027. The project is set to become Australia's first commercial-scale graphite micronising operation, establishing a secure source of high-value graphite products for customers seeking more resilient supply chains.
The selected equipment will allow International Graphite to manufacture superfine, high-value graphite products alongside its standard and high-grade product range. The company said a 12-month production snapshot, based on current spot sales prices and the ultimate product mix, indicated potential annual revenue of $26.0 million to $32.4 million and potential annual EBITDA of $11.1 million to $14.2 million.
The production snapshot is based on output of between 4,300 and 6,400 tonnes a year across standard and high-grade finished graphite products ranging from 5 microns to 45 microns in size.
The Collie development strengthens Western Australia's downstream critical-minerals capability and gives International Graphite a first-mover position in the domestic market for advanced micronised graphite products.
