Avira Confirms High-Grade Gold at Mt Cattlin

6 August 2026 | Western Australia - Avira Resources has reported high-grade gold results from its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Mt Cattlin Gold Project near Ravensthorpe.

The first assay results confirmed gold mineralisation at both the Plantagenet prospect and the historically mined Maori Queen deposit.

At Plantagenet, results included:

• 8m at 2.77 g/t gold from 16m, including:
  • 3m at 4.45 g/t gold
  • 2m at 9.68 g/t gold
• 1m at 6.14 g/t gold from 67m
• 1m at 2.99 g/t gold from 21m

Avira said drilling has confirmed shallow gold mineralisation over at least 180m of strike at Plantagenet, with evidence of parallel lodes offering further repetition potential.

At Maori Queen, results included:

• 4m at 3.86 g/t gold from 23m, including 1m at 13.75 g/t gold
• 5m at 1.1 g/t gold from surface, including 1m at 3.55 g/t gold
• 5m at 1.02 g/t gold from 45m
• 1m at 2.76 g/t gold from 104m

Why it matters: Maori Queen and the nearby Sirdar deposit have a combined historical production record of 23,006 tonnes at 24.56 g/t gold.

The latest drilling confirms that the historic Maori Queen high-grade shoot remains open below the old workings. Avira has also identified hangingwall and footwall lodes that could provide additional targets.

The Mt Cattlin Gold Project is located approximately 4km north of Ravensthorpe and immediately adjacent to the Mt Cattlin lithium operation.

Avira plans to resume drilling when seasonal conditions improve, with approximately 2,500m remaining in the current program. Future drilling will complete the Maori Queen work and begin testing Sirdar and Ellendale.

For Western Australia’s gold exploration sector, the initial results provide early confirmation that Mt Cattlin hosts multiple shallow and high-grade structures with potential for systematic resource definition.
