Latitude 66 defines 339,000oz gold resource at Laverton

Latitude 66 Limited has defined a combined 339,000-ounce gold Mineral Resource at the Tin Dog and Red Dog prospects within its Laverton Gold Project in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields.

The estimate totals 10.7 million tonnes at 1.0g/t gold. It includes a maiden Tin Dog resource of 10.0Mt at 1.0g/t for 309,000oz and an updated Red Dog resource of 0.7Mt at 1.3g/t for 30,000oz.

About 40% of the combined resource is classified as Indicated and 60% as Inferred. Latitude 66 said the Red Dog update represents an approximately 122% increase in contained gold compared with the historical remnant estimate.

The company completed 6,451m of reverse-circulation drilling after executing the project option agreement. Its revised structural interpretation identified a previously under-recognised north-west to south-east control on mineralisation and helped delineate the new The Don and Wilpro lodes at Tin Dog.

The resources sit on granted mining leases and within 100km of five operating gold processing facilities, giving the project several potential development pathways.

Latitude 66 is planning further RC and diamond drilling to test extensions, parallel structures and the recent discoveries while moving higher-confidence areas towards development studies.
