New Frontier Identifies Untested Harts Range Bedrock Conductor

5 August 2026 | Northern Territory - New Frontier Minerals has identified a new untested bedrock conductor at its 100%-owned Harts Range Project in the Northern Territory.

The conductor was independently modelled by Southern Geoscience Consultants using Geoscience Australia’s publicly available AusAEM airborne electromagnetic dataset.

New Frontier said the conductor is interpreted to sit approximately 240m below surface within EL34147 and is located around 3.5km south of the Kings Cross target, where the company has already received government approval to commence drilling of a separate magnetic anomaly.

Southern Geoscience concluded the modelled conductor is prospective for copper-nickel mineralisation, giving New Frontier another high-priority exploration target within the Harts Range project area.

Why it matters: Harts Range is gaining attention as a potential emerging copper-nickel-PGE district. New Frontier said the newly identified conductor is located within 40km of the C2 conductor identified through BHP Xplor-backed research by Litchfield Minerals.

The Harts Range region has recently been reframed as a possible district-scale nickel-copper-PGE province, with deep structures, magmatic events and known sulphide mineralisation supporting the broader exploration model.

New Frontier said its conductor remains completely untested. No ground electromagnetic surveys or drilling have been completed over the target to date.

Importantly, the target was generated from publicly available government geophysical data, meaning it was identified without new data acquisition costs.

Chairman Gerrard Hall said the modelling provides further independent support for the emerging exploration potential of Harts Range. He said the result shows airborne electromagnetic data can help identify concealed bedrock conductors across the belt and assist with prioritising future exploration.

Next steps include reviewing New Frontier’s magnetic, radiometric and geological datasets across southern EL34147, followed by reconnaissance mapping and rock-chip sampling along the projected surface position of the conductor.

The company also noted that ground electromagnetic surveying would be required to confirm the conductor’s position, geometry and conductance before any drill testing.

For the Northern Territory exploration sector, the announcement adds another early-stage copper-nickel target in a district attracting renewed attention from critical minerals explorers.
