Field Technician – Earthworks (Resource Development Drilling) WA Gold Operation | FIFO 8:6 Roster

An established Western Australian gold producer is seeking two Field Technicians (Earthworks focus) to support upcoming resource development drilling programs. Working closely with geology and field teams, you will play a key role in supporting earthworks activities to ensure drilling programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

These roles will suit hands-on field technicians with exposure to drilling environments who are looking to step into a position with strong involvement in earthworks coordination and drill site preparation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in one of the following:
    • Drill core processing, or
    • RC sample collection and field technician duties
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • High attention to safety and operational detail
  • Current WA Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence

Position Duties:

  • Support earthworks contractors during site preparation activities
  • Conduct drill hole pegging
  • Mark up drill pads and sumps in line with drill rig layouts
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety performance on site
  • Liaise with geology and field teams to maintain alignment with drilling schedules
  • Provide practical field input to optimise earthworks sequencing and readiness
