MES is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join a site-based gold exploration operation in Western Australia’s Goldfields region. The role is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day function of all Health & Safety activities on site, as well as the development and promotion of required HSE procedures, policies and standards, and the continuous monitoring of HSE initiatives.
- Relevant Tertiary level qualifications in Health and Safety;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (minimum);
- Incident Investigation Certification
- Risk Assessing Certification with proven experience in Risk Facilitation
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework for Work Health and Safety (state and national)
Position Duties:
- Develop and implement site health and safety systems, procedures, and risk management strategies in line with legislation and standards.
- Coordinate incident investigations, injury management, workers’ compensation cases, emergency response, and occupational health monitoring programs.
- Provide training, coaching, and on-site support to employees and contractors while promoting a strong safety culture
- Manage reporting, audits, risk registers, statutory compliance, and provide regular updates and advice to senior management
