Our client is an active West Australian explorer with a portfolio spanning gold, critical and base metals. MES is assembling hands-on Contract Geologists to support a ~3,000 m RC drilling program in the Goldfields.
The work: rig supervision and sampling, RC chip logging, QA/QC and chain-of-custody, downhole surveys, sample dispatch, data entry (Excel/CorePlan/acQuire/Micromine/Leapfrog exposure valued).
Key details:
- Start: from Monday 3 November 2025
- Duration: several weeks (with potential to extend)
- Camp: mobile camp (kitchen/shower caravan, tents & swags)
- Roster/Hours: field campaign hours; expect long days typical of RC programs
- Pay: competitive contractor day rates, paid fortnightly via MES (insurances covered)
You’ll bring:
- Recent field exposure (uni projects, vacation work or 6 months + industry experience)
- Solid fieldwork attitude and safety mindset
- Manual C-class licence; 4WD confidence a plus
- Current First Aid and DAS/medical (or willingness to complete)
- Full work rights in Australia
Position Duties:
- Supervise RC rig and sampling at the cyclone/splitter
- Log RC chips to company templates
- Manage basic QA/QC (standards, blanks, duplicates)
- Complete daily drill reports and data entry
- Follow site safety procedures; assist with basic field/camp tasks
