MES is currently seeking an Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join their new Iron Ore operation in the mid-west for a 6 month contract back to back with the Senior Mine Surveyor. The restart of the iron ore mine will increase production profile to 1.5 million tonnes due to be in production by late 2024.
Requirements:
- Relevant surveying qualifications;
- Proficient with mine planning software;
- Proficient with Leica total stations, Trimble GPS and Surpac;
- Drone License.
Position Duties:
- Provide surveying services to the open pit mines;
- Perform all duties in accordance with survey practices and procedures;
- Assist in reviewing and updating survey practices and procedures;
- Maintain accurate, up to date mine survey records;
- Contribute to and assist with the preparation of month end reporting, calculations and associated reconciliations as required;
- Work in accordance with statutory regulations.
