Our client, a mid-tier gold producer is seeking a Senior Project Exploration Geologist- Underground (Mine Development) to join the Geology Department. Responsible for providing geological technical support to evaluate greenfield, near-mine, and resource mining and production. All tasks must be carried out safely and in compliance with PNRS Company Safety, Health, and Environment Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology;
- Significant experience in exploration projects and mining operations experience;
- Competent working with gold mineralisation systems;
- Proficient with Leapfrog software;
- Datamine and Surpac exposure desirable;
- Manual Drivers License.
Position Duties:
- Maintain operational direction for mining and geological processes as set by the Mine Manager and Geology Manager;
- Ensure geological operational capability and performance through effective supervision of personnel;
- Manage performance indicators for exploration and geological activities, aligning with annual and quarterly plans, and monitor and adjust performance accordingly;
- Oversee exploration drilling and resource development drilling to establish orebody limits within approved budget estimates;
- Ensure the compilation and maintenance of geological, grade control, and resource models;
- Assist in preparing regular management updates and cost reports on the progress of geological and mining activities;
- Manage general tenement expenditure and commitments;
- Ensure the health and safety of all staff involved in mining operations, in compliance with company standards.
