Our client is currently seeking experienced Shotfirers and Charge-Up Operators to join their team. An exciting opportunity is available for experienced candidate to join a growing underground mining operation on a contract basis. This role offers consistent work across technically challenging environments, including narrow vein mining and ANFO-based charging systems, within a safety-focused and well-supported team.

Requirements:

Current Shotfirer’s Licence (essential)
Demonstrated experience in narrow vein underground mining
Strong experience with ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil) charging systems
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Sound knowledge of safety systems and risk management
Current driver’s licence
National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant underground inductions and tickets (highly regarded)

Position Duties:

Charging development and production headings using ANFO and emulsion systems;
Working within narrow vein mining conditions;
Conducting pre- and post-blast inspections;
Ensuring all blasting activities comply with site procedures and regulations;
Handling, transporting, and storing explosives in accordance with legislative requirements;
Maintaining accurate blast records and reports.
