Our client, a successful Western Australian ASX-listed gold producer based in the Midwest, is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor to join their team.
The company is a major player in the Australian Gold Sector, operating three production facilities in Western Australia.
Requirements;
- Tertiary Survey Qualification;
- Current "C" class manual driver's licence;
- National Police Clearance;
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Technical analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Competent in the use of drone technology;
- Remote Pilot Licence- Drove;
- Authorised Mine Surveyors certificate – Grade 1 or Grade 2 Desirable;
- Experience using Leica Total Stations, Trimble GPS, and Geosight/Optech CMS.
Position Duties:
- Maintaining control network to better than Mines Department standards for both surface and underground;
- Setup of drone network control for surface operations & maintain and develop survey databases;
- Maintenance and management of survey equipment;
- Undertake any other site survey requirements as directed by the Manager. Survey/Geomatics;
- Continual development of aerial survey database utilising existing company UAVs;
- Conduct control network checks of both the surface and underground, validating new and historic local transformations;
- Mentoring and supervision of junior staff members with accountability for their actions;
