Our client is seeking an experienced Metallurgical Technician for their exciting nickel operation in WA. They are a global base metals company, operating long-life mines in several countries and employing approximately 20,000 people worldwide.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated metallurgical technician experience;
- Knowledge of laboratory work, process technologies and equipment;
- Self-motivated and well organized to ensure the timely delivery of tasks assigned to the role;
- Current Driver's License;
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A.
Position Duties:
- Plant sampling and sample submission;
- Metallurgical test work, including particle size distribution and bench-scale flotation;
- Calibration of on-stream analyser instruments;
- Ensure the Senior and Plant Metallurgists are made aware of all relevant metallurgical matters;
- Analyse and contribute to the reporting on plant trials and other metallurgical initiatives.
