Our client, a successful Australian Gold producer, is looking for a Plant Metallurgist to join their team at one of their Western Australian gold operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or equivalent;
- Current WA manual driver’s licence;
- Current Nation Police Clearance (within 6 months);
- Experience working with Gold (Highly Regarded)
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of lab technicians and operators;
- High-level skills working with Microsoft Office, namely: Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
Position Duties:
- Provide a service to production activities at the metallurgical plant;
- Monitor, audit, and optimise plant metallurgical performance to endure desired recoveries and throughput;
- Ensure that safety, health and environmental standards are complied with;
- Assist in analysing production results and resolving operational problems;
- Ensure that all work is conducted according to approved standards and procedures;
- Provide technical support, training and guidance to the operational crews;
- Reporting and data collection.
