Job Requirements:
- Unrestricted WA electrical license (REQUIRED);
- WA driver’s license;
- High Voltage switching qualification (REQUIRED);
- Competent with reporting, completing electrical logs, and working on a work order system;
- Hazard identification and risk assessment.
Position Duties:
- Electrical and instrumentation technical support in all operational aspects, including high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage and process control systems;
- Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by applying effective preventative maintenance practices through scheduled inspections, adjustments, and timely repair of equipment;
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks;
- Demonstrating full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management Systems by developing and participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training, assisting with the implementation/contributing to audits;
- Ensuring work practices and the place of work are maintained, by evaluating associated risks and hazards of each task prior to the commencement to ensure safe working environment and the utilization of correct equipment;
- Reporting all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages to a direct Supervisor or area Supervisor as soon as is practicable.
Experience
5+ years of Fixed Plant Electrical experience.
