Maronan outlines drilling, resource update and PFS targets at AGM

Maronan Metals presented its FY26 company review at its annual general meeting on 4 November 2026. The company describes Maronan as a 100%-owned silver-lead and copper-gold deposit in Queensland's Carpentaria Province.

The company reported global silver-lead resources of 33.1 million tonnes grading 6.0% lead and 108 grams per tonne silver, alongside copper-gold resources of 32.0 million tonnes grading 0.85% copper, 0.63 grams per tonne gold and 7 grams per tonne silver.

Maronan said its accelerated 40,000-metre surface drilling program is intended to build an Indicated Mineral Resource. It is targeting an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and prefeasibility study in H2 FY27, while identifying a potential 2.0 million-tonne-per-year operation for more than 10 years. The company cautioned that the PFS scope and objectives are not a forecast and outcomes may differ materially from the preliminary economic assessment.

On permitting, Maronan said a Mineral Development Licence for construction of a boxcut and exploration decline was approved in 12 months. It said the full Mining Licence application process had commenced and was on track for potential coordinated-project designation by the end of 2026, while noting its Mining Licence application was expected to be lodged in H1 FY27.
