Kantra reports 3,419 tonnes of quarterly copper production at Kanmantoo

Kantra Copper said quarterly copper production rose to 3,419 tonnes, its fifth consecutive quarter of production growth. The company reported year-to-date production of 9,709 tonnes and said it remained on track for its 2026 production guidance of 12,750 to 14,000 tonnes of copper.

Revenue for the quarter was A$73.2 million, up A$9.4 million from the June quarter, which Kantra attributed primarily to higher payable copper tonnes sold and a stronger average realised price. Operating mine cash flow was A$32.1 million and net group cash flow was A$14.2 million.

The board approved commencement of Emily Star development as a third underground mining front at Kanmantoo. Kantra said surface portal construction began during the quarter, while stoping is expected to start in the second half of 2027, subject to the updated PEPR approval being in place.

Underground drilling totalled 14,597 metres during the quarter across grade-control and resource-expansion programs. Subsequent drilling results at the Nugent lode confirmed mineralisation more than 300 metres below the current mining horizon, according to the company.
