Larvotto said the milestone followed the recommencement of production at its wholly owned Hillgrove Mine last month, after an extensive redevelopment and plant upgrade program.
The company said commissioning continued with production of first flotation concentrate. Material is cleaned through Jameson and cleaner flotation cells to produce a 60% antimony product, before filter presses remove excess moisture to produce concentrate to specification.
Antimony concentrate is covered by a binding agreement under which Wogen Resources will provide exclusive global offtake sales during the first seven years of mining, Larvotto said.
Larvotto said gold concentrate produced during the first seven years of mining will be sold to Glencore International AG under a separate binding agreement covering expected annual offtake of about 15,000 dry metric tonnes. The company forecasts Hillgrove will produce approximately 4,900 tonnes of antimony and 40,500 ounces of gold annually over an initial eight-year mine life.
