Great Boulder appoints Rod Bonner as chief mining engineer

Great Boulder Resources said it has appointed mining engineer Rod Bonner as chief mining engineer. The company said Bonner will be responsible for bringing the Peak Hill project into production by the end of 2027 and the Side Well project into production in 2028.

The company said Peak Hill has a pathway to production and cashflow under an ore purchase agreement with its largest shareholder, Westgold Resources. Great Boulder reported a 481,000-ounce resource at Peak Hill and a 1.01-million-ounce resource at Side Well.

Great Boulder said drilling is continuing at Peak Hill, with RC rigs operating at Durack and Jubilee and a diamond rig at Enigma. It anticipates further drilling results shortly, while the program is expected to support a resource update by year-end and pre-feasibility studies commencing in early 2028.
