Bannerman Energy reported that the bulk earthworks package at Etango is about 99% complete. The company expects Phase 4, focused on process solution ponds and wet plant terraces, to be completed during December.
The company said approximately 50% of the required heap leach drainage aggregate had been produced by local contractor Tulela Mining & Construction and was being built into inventory for future placement in the heap leach pad drainage system.
About 14,700 cubic metres of concrete has been cast across the Phase 1 and Phase 2A packages, representing approximately 86% of planned concrete volume for those phases, Bannerman said.
Bannerman said it was making final preparations for a targeted Etango final investment decision during Q4 2026 following completion of the CNOL strategic investment and joint venture transaction. The company said full-scale construction is intended to follow promptly after FID.
Etango recorded its first lost-time injury of the project on 2 September, Bannerman said. A contractor employee sustained a hairline fracture to his left foot while operating a compactor and received medical attention.
