GreenTech Metals has reported a high-grade copper, gold and silver intersection beyond the existing Ayshia resource envelope at its 100%-owned Whundo Project in Western Australia's West Pilbara.
Diamond drill hole 26GTDD016 returned 4.76 metres at 7.13% copper, 1.20% zinc, 0.88 grams per tonne gold and 29.6 grams per tonne silver from 367 metres downhole. This includes 3.44 metres at 9.43% copper, 1.59% zinc, 1.20 grams per tonne gold and 39.7 grams per tonne silver from 367.62 metres.
Result supports deeper exploration
The company said the intersection extends the tested mineralised trend approximately 65 metres down-plunge beyond the previously reported Ayshia mineral resource envelope. The distance remains subject to final survey and three-dimensional model verification.
The intervals are downhole lengths, and true widths have not yet been determined. Mineralisation remains open at depth, with the new result to be combined with geological, structural and historical drilling information to plan further work.
Survey and resource work planned
GreenTech plans a downhole electromagnetic survey of 26GTDD016 to help target the continuation of the mineralised shoot. Gold and silver intercepts will also be assessed as part of an updated mineral resource estimate targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The current Whundo mineral resource is 6.2 million tonnes at 1.12% copper and 1.04% zinc, including Ayshia's 0.9 million tonnes at 1.3% copper and 2.3% zinc. The new assays have not yet been incorporated into an updated resource.
Drilling has also been completed at Yannery and Austin, with laboratory results expected in October. The next exploration steps centre on drilling, geophysics and geological modelling; the release does not confirm new positions or a hiring timetable.
