Neometals has reported new high-grade gold intersections from reverse-circulation drilling at the Ironclad deposit within its wholly owned Barrambie Gold Project in Western Australia.
Announced on 4 September 2026, the results come from a July program comprising nine holes for 1,050 metres across Ironclad and Rinaldi. Five holes totalling 662 metres were drilled at Ironclad, where all four completed holes returned mineralised widths of more than 10 metres.
Broad, higher-grade intersections
Hole 26ICRC004 returned 12 metres at 5.99 grams per tonne gold from 116 metres, including four metres at 10.13 grams per tonne from 118 metres.
Hole 26ICRC003 intersected 11 metres at 5.50 grams per tonne from 94 metres, including three metres at 15.10 grams per tonne from the same depth. Other reported results included 18 metres at 2.14 grams per tonne from 89 metres in 26ICRC001 and 15 metres at 1.12 grams per tonne from 69 metres in 26ICRC002.
The deepest planned hole, 26ICRC005, was stopped after water ingress prevented the reverse-circulation rig from reaching its intended depth. Neometals said the completed results support its interpretation of a higher-grade plunging zone, but further drilling is needed to confirm its geometry and continuity.
Diamond drilling planned
Subject to ground conditions and approvals, Neometals plans to complete a diamond tail on 26ICRC005 during September. A second diamond hole is planned about 50 metres down-plunge, together with a diamond tail at the Rinaldi T2 target.
The company is also working towards a native title agreement in October, after which it intends to apply for a mining lease. Approval documentation and grade-control drilling are planned for the December quarter, according to the announcement.
Next steps for Barrambie
The combination of follow-up diamond drilling, approvals work and planned grade-control activity gives Barrambie a more defined near-term exploration and development program. These activities may require geology, drilling, field support and project coordination capability, but Neometals has not announced specific employment requirements.
