Parkway Corporate has been awarded a $2 million mine dewatering contract by an unnamed major global mining company. Work on the contract is already underway, giving Parkway a near-term delivery program across engineering, fabrication and project support.
Large-scale dewatering package enters delivery
The contract covers the design, engineering, fabrication and supply of industrial-scale mine-pit dewatering equipment for a large mine rehabilitation project. Parkway said the client is an existing customer and a top-10 global mining company by market capitalisation.
At peak operating capacity, the equipment will be capable of transferring or processing up to five million litres of wastewater an hour. The scope includes highly acidic and complex mine-pit water and requires specialised equipment such as acid-resistant floating pump pontoons.
Integrated teams support the program
Delivery is being coordinated through Parkway’s integrated project platform. PPS-Melbourne is providing project management, Tankweld is undertaking fabrication and containerisation, and PPS-Darwin is supporting the project locally. The arrangement draws on several parts of the group and its established supplier network.
The binding contract has a scheduled completion date of 30 November 2026 and a value of $2 million excluding GST. Parkway expects all revenue from its scope to be recognised in the first half of the 2027 financial year. Payment claims are tied to agreed milestones, with the first claim commencing at project award. The contract does not require Parkway to provide payment retention or a bank guarantee.
Contract supports specialist project activity
With performance already underway, the award provides defined near-term work across design, engineering, fabrication, project management and regional support. It also demonstrates the type of specialist water-management capability required for large rehabilitation programs, particularly where pit water is acidic or operationally complex.
Parkway has not announced additional positions or workforce numbers for the contract. Any employment impact will depend on how the company resources delivery across its existing teams, suppliers and project partners.
