Pilbara Gold has reported the first assay results from its current drilling programme at the Terra prospect within the Roe Hills Gold Project, about 100 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The results include a reported downhole interval of 46 metres at 3.17 grams per tonne gold from 92 metres in hole 26RHRC001, including 18 metres at 4.36g/t from 110 metres.
Other highlights include 4 metres at 9.91g/t from 144 metres in 26RHRC006, including 1 metre at 33.62g/t from 145 metres, and 7 metres at 4.14g/t from 81 metres in 26RHRC011, including 3 metres at 6.38g/t from 83 metres.
Pilbara Gold said the drilling supports strong continuity of mineralisation along a corridor extending for about 1.5 to 2 kilometres. Mineralisation remains open to the north, south and at depth, leaving scope for follow-up drilling beyond the current programme.
Approximately 5,700 metres of the planned 12,000-metre drilling campaign has been completed. Around 6,300 metres remains across the Terra and Caliburn prospects. Three reverse-circulation holes that did not reach their intended targets are planned to be redrilled using diamond drilling.
Roe Hills is located around 50 kilometres east of the Randalls processing plant and within an established Goldfields exploration and mining region. Pilbara Gold is using the current programme to test the scale, continuity and higher-grade potential of the mineralised system.
Managing Director Dr Peter Turner said the initial Terra results provided early support for the company's geological model. The balance of the programme will continue testing extensions and priority targets at Terra and Caliburn, while the planned diamond holes are intended to complete testing where reverse-circulation drilling was unsuccessful.
The announcement marks the first set of results from the campaign, with further assays and drilling updates expected as the programme advances.
