Our client, the only privately owned coal-fired power station in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Asset Engineer to join their team. 

You will be working in a collaborative team of engineering, technical, and management staff; you will be responsible for asset management and technical support across all plant areas, including boilers, turbines, and the balance of the plant.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently, and accurately;
  • Be flexible and adaptable to work under pressure and meet short and long term deadlines;
  • Exposure to the use of the Permit to Work system;
  • Competent using SAP, Microsoft suite of products, etc.

Position Duties:

  • Develop and maintain asset management plans in accordance with business processes and strategic
    objectives;
  • Maintain statutory and regulatory compliance for assigned assets;
  • Maintain and monitor equipment life cycle costing models;
  • Develop and execute asset maintenance or improvement projects to recognised PM standards;
  • Develop, implement and review plant optimisation initiates;
  • Carry out root cause analysis investigations;
  • Support and advise Operational Teams to maintain plant reliability and efficiency;
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of safely operating and maintenance procedures;
  • Ensure that works comply with established site engineering procedures, standards and specifications.
Experience
At least 3 years of practical experience in power generation or heavy process industry environment
