Our client, a well established Inegrated mining operation based in the Northern Territory specialising in Gold and a variety of other commodities is seeking a Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist to join their team.
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology;
- Ore mark ups and ore spotting experience;
- Exposure to EOM reconciliations and reporting;
- Strong QAQC skills;
- Planning and organisational skills;
- Proficient in using mining software - Vulcan, Datamine, Surpac, Micromine and Leapfrog.
Position Duties:
- Coordinate all geological activities for the mining operation and in particular grade control;
- 3D interpretation of data, generating Grade Control models for mine planning as per the mine schedule;
- Supervision and Management of grade control drilling programs;
- Oversee high quality technical reporting in the compilation of daily grade reports, weekly and monthly production reports;
- Provide technical and management support for the site management team;
- Liaise with Mine Production personnel and drilling contractor to coordinate drilling activities in the open pit environment;
