Our Nickel client based in South West WA, is currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Superintendent to assist the Health and Safety Manager with the optimization and performance of the Health and Safety Team,
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety;
- Previous experience in a similar leadership capacity;
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation;
- Exposure within a mining construction environment;
- Understanding of OHS best operating practice;
- Exposure to large mineral processing environments.
Position Duties:
- Overseeing KPIs for Health and Safety team members and ensuring these targets re met, providing guidance and feedback on how to do so;
- Review final reports submitted by the H&S Team and edit the reports as necessary and ensure that returned items are used as training opportunities for future improvement;
- Monitor daily activities of the Health and Safety Team, seek opportunities for improvement and the optimisation of time and resources;
- Steamline reporting, determine the most useful information with ability to relay this information onwards;
- Meeting regularly with external Health and Safety representatives and encourage open dialogue to and bring on the forefront of any.
