Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for their exciting nickel operation in WA. They are a global base metals company, operating long-life mines in several countries and employing approximately 20,000 people worldwide.

Requirements;

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable);
  • Prior experience working in a similar HSE role;
  • Formal qualifications in health and safety;
  • The ability to influence and drive positive HSEQ outcomes;
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of current applicable legislation;
  • Exposure to incident investigation ICAM methodology (desirable).

Position Duties:

  • Ensure that WHS accountabilities and commitments are understood by employees an contractors;
  • Review WHS documentation such as principal mining hazard management plans/procedures/risk assessments;
  • Lead the emergency response team
  • Conduct internal DMIRS HIF audits and contractor management adults to assess compliance and drive improvement.
