We have an urgent requirement for 6 x Contract Resource Definition (RD) Geology Technicians to support safe, efficient and cost-effective growth of mineral resources. Reporting to the Senior Resource Definition Geologist, you will carry out geological activities and drill rig/core yard duties.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 6 months’ demonstrated experience in drill core processing or Reverse Circulation (RC) sample collection / surface field technician processes
  • Strong, clear communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Manual driver’s licence (essential)
  • Forklift Ticket - Desirable

Position Duties:

  • Process and log drill core: mark-up, depth checks, core orientation checks, metre marking, tray set-up and core photography
  • Core cutting and sampling support (where required): assist with core saw operation, sample selection, bagging, tagging and sealing
  • RC sample collection support: manage sample bags, splits, chip trays, and maintain sample integrity/chain of custody
  • Sample dispatch preparation: organise batches, complete paperwork, label verification and coordinate freight
  • Core yard duties: core moves, storage, racking, housekeeping and maintaining a safe, tidy work area
