An emerging gold producer in the northern Goldfields is moving from single-pit development into a broader, multi-deposit growth phase and is looking to add an Exploration Geologist to the team.
The operation has almost 1Moz in resources across several deposits (open pit and near-mine) and is progressing mine/study work ahead of a proposed ~1Mtpa processing hub. To support this, further drilling is being planned on high-priority brownfields targets that have already returned strong gold intercepts.
Why this role is interesting
- Brownfields work around an operating/near-operating pit
- Multiple deposits in the same project area — real pipeline of targets
- Drilling already demonstrating stacked lodes and strong grades
- Your work feeds directly into mine studies and development decisions
About you
- Degree in Geology/Geoscience
- 2–5+ years in WA gold exploration or mine-based exploration
- Solid RC/AC logging and sampling experience
- Able to work in a small, hands-on team and jump between near-mine and regional priorities
- Current manual driver’s licence
Key details
- 8/6 roster preferred; other rosters may be considered to align with crew
- Village-style accommodation close to site
- Short lead time to start
Position Duties:
- Assist with planning and execution of RC/AC (and occasional diamond) drilling on near-mine and satellite targets
- High-quality geological logging and sampling to support resource growth
- Follow-up drilling on known mineralised structures where recent holes have returned high-grade intercepts
- QA/QC of sampling and assay data
- Support geological interpretations and reporting for studies and future mining
- General field/site geology tasks as required
