LD18223 - Senior Mine Geologist

An opportunity has come up for an experienced Senior Mine Geologist to take charge of production geology at an established open-pit gold operation in the Northern Goldfields. You’ll be the key link between geology and operations on site, lifting the standard of grade control, drilling and reporting, while guiding a small team.

Role focus

• Lead and oversee grade control and ore block mark-ups
• Plan, cost and manage short-term drilling programmes
• Monitor daily production and complete reconciliations
• Maintain disciplined geological databases and site systems
• Coach junior geologists/field staff and work closely with mining supervisor

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or similar
• Solid background in open-pit gold
• Strong track record in grade control and production reporting
• Capability with mine geology software (Surpac/Datamine/Leapfrog or equivalent)
• Confident, practical communicator who’s happy working in the pit
