Our client, a leading gold exploration company, is seeking an Exploration Geologist to support the day-to-day operations of a diamond drilling program in the East Pilbara. This role is offered on a short-term contract basis.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Geology (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in diamond drilling programs within a mining or exploration environment
- Strong core logging skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Current Australian working rights and manual driver’s licence
Position Duties:
- Daily supervision of diamond rigs
- Approving plods, assays, and database entry
- Drill core logging and interpretation
- Rig inspections and general safety inspections
- Surface geochemical sampling
