Our client, a well established integrated mining operation based in the Northern Territory specializing in the production of iron ore and a variety of other commodities is seeking an Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join their team.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Surveying (Diploma or higher);
- Competent using Deswik, Surpac, Global Mapper, GeoMos monitoring and Trimble (highly regarded).
Position Duties:
- Provide survey support to mining operations including blast layouts and pickups, final design markups and pickups, ore block markups, floor and batter checks, and end of month survey pickup and volume calculations;
- Provide survey support to construction and development activities including road construction, camp construction, water bore construction, tenement claims, clearance area markups and pickups;
- Provide survey support to all other departments including but not limited to exploration and environmental activities;
- Maintain up to date survey records in accordance with WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and all survey related site work procedures;
- Maintain a safety conscious approach to all work areas and work practices, maintain an active approach to identification and reporting of hazards and potential hazards to employee.
Experience
