Our client, a Western Australian ASX-listed gold explorer with a significant high-grade gold deposit is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their Gold Project which sits in a major gold and nickel producing district.
Job Requirements:
- Cert III - Mechanical Fitting;
- Manual C class driver’s license;
- Crane, Dogging, EWP, First Aid and Forklift tickets - desirable;
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs.
Position Duties:
- Complete all administrative processing requirements - requisitioning of parts
and materials, processing of maintenance orders, recording of labour time, etc. - Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to;
- Demonstrate OHS compliance by developing and participating in initiatives, toolbox meetings, investigations, training, assisting with the implementation/contributing to audits;
- Ensure work practices and the place of work are maintained - evaluating associated risks and hazards to ensure safe working environment and the utilization of correct equipment;
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping to contribute towards a safe work environment;
- Report all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages;
- An on-call component as required.
