Our client, a well-regarded ASX-listed gold producer, is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join their team in Western Australia’s north-eastern Goldfields region.
Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science;
- Previous experience in managing land access, approvals and closure projects;
- Previous experience in managing stakeholder engagement;
- Demonstrated leadership and performance development experience;
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
Position Duties:
- Update and review the site Mine Closure plan including management of progressive rehabilitation plans and processes;
- Assist in maintenance of site Environmental Aspects and Obligations Registers, spatial data, and environmental databases;
- Assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of the site’s ISO14001;
- Contribute to sustainable mining by advising on and facilitating approvals for operations;
- Develop and review the application of new procedures, processes, methodologies and technologies where required;
- Coordinate site monitoring programs, data collection and analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.
