Our ASX listed client is seeking an experienced RC Grade Control Geologist for their new iron ore project in the West Pilbara region of WA.
They are an innovative and leading mining services company with a growing world-class portfolio of mining operations across multiple commodities, including iron ore and lithium.
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology;
- Previous experience working in open pit operations;
- Experience in ore mark-ups, ore spotting, ore block modelling and design;
- Experience in ROM and Stockpile management;
- Exposure to end-of-month reconciliations and reporting;
- Proficient using Surpac, Acquire and 3D mining.
Position Duties:
- Grade control blast hole and RCGC sampling QAQC;
- Ore classification from data and visual inspection;
- Undertake face mapping for integration into forward looking geological models;
- Manage geological data upload and accuracy to site FMS system;
- Blast hole grade control data management;
- Blast blocking and the production of dig maps;
- Contribute to end of month reporting/reconciliation requirements.
Experience
2-3 years' experience in a Mining Environment.
